Mysuru: An anonymous call on presence of a bomb planted in a park near rural bus-stand sent panic waves in the surroundings till police accompanied by bomb disposal squad arrived at the spot on December 20.
The call however did not turn out completely hoax as police found explosives at the site, after the called informed the police control room of imminent explosion. The package found by police contained two batteries, few wires and other explosive materials. The explosives have been sent to testing laboratories for further investigation.
Police carried out reconnaissance of areas surrounding the park employing dog squad.
