Few weeks ago, another employee from the same factory had attempted suicide by consuming poison but was saved with timely treatment. Nagaraj’s family comprising wife and two children studying in eighth and third standard and wife is said to be facing a lot of financial problems due to non-payment of salary. He is unable to pay rent or even fulfill the basic needs of his family. Upset over the situation he tried to end his life.

N D Santosh, firefighting personnel belonging to the Hebbal Fire Station saved Nagaraj by climbing atop the 100 ft chimney. Though Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has assured to solve their problems within 48 hours on October 27, nothing has happened till date. The employees are upset with the government and management.
