Mysuru: An employee of a firm assigned with the contract of refilling cash in ATM machines, escaped after distributing firm’s cash to his personal creditors when he came under enormous pressure from them.
Shivakumar, employed with Logicash, a firm involved in replenishing cash at ATM cash dispensers of the banks in the city is alleged to have used firm’s money to the tune of Rs 35.78 Lakh to clear personal dues. When the firm noticed shortage in cash during audit after few days, Shivakumar was summoned and questioned. During interrogation, Shivakumar confessed to having diverted firm’s cash to clear his personal debts. When the company decided to lodge a police complaint against Shivakumar to recover the missing cash, he escaped from the firm on the pretext of using the wash room.
Logicash has subsequently lodged a complaint with the K R police station in connection with the misuse of firm’s cash.
It is gathered, Shivakumar under pressure from his creditors, to clear the personal dues he owed them, resorted to easy means by diverting the company cash, meant for deposition in bank ATM dispensers.
