Mysuru: An awareness campaign stressing the significance of saving water was organised by Podar Jumbo Kids who held a walkathon here on March 10.
Water, which is the life source of human beings is literally going “down the drain” during the Holi festival celebrations. The urban Holi games of filling and throwing water balloons is not only a senseless waste of water but it also poses as a hazard to nature and does not truly celebrate the true spirit of Holi.
Podar Jumbo Kids took the initiative to help people understand about the “water waste” that happens during Holi by taking children for a walkathon in the school, under the dynamic leadership of Principal Krishna Bangera, Vice Principal Sunitha Duggal, Administrative Officers Shivaswamy and Pinto, teachers and parents.
With everyone’s support the event was organised efficiently.
