Mysuru: A teenage boy died after an ayurvedic doctor injected him which resulted in deterioration of health condition, eventually resulting in his death.
The deceased Krishna, aged 17, student of Maharaja’s college in Mysuru, visited a clinic at village handpost on August 4 to take medication for fever. The clinic ayurvedic doctor Ramesh Kumar injected him and gave few tablets. When the fever did not subside he visited the clinic again only to find its shutters down.
Nightmare begins
He rushed immediately to HD Kote government hospital where the duty doctor advised the people accompanying him to get him admitted at KR hospital in Mysuru as the injection showed adverse effects on his body. He was rushed to KR hospital where doctors tried to revive him by injecting glucose but failed in their endeavour as the teen succumbed to death.
Deceased Krishna’s relatives took his body to their native place to perform last rites. But the youth in the village wanted post mortem to be conducted on the body and severe action taken against the negligent ayurvedic doctor. After police registered a case and doctors at HD Kote government hospital found the body in decomposed state before starting the procedure and expressed their inability to conduct post mortem. His body was taken back to Mysore KR hospital where post mortem was carried out on the decomposed body. Finally deceased Krishna’s relatives performed last rites.
