Basheer murder case: Police nab two more accused, tally mounts to six

Mangaluru: The Mangaluru police have successfully nabbed two more persons in connection to the Abdul Basheer murder case on January 14, taking the total tally to six persons.

Lathish (24) and Pushparaj(23), both residents of Kasaragod are the arrested persons.

It may be recalled that Basheer was brutally assaulted with lethal weapons on the night of January 3 at Kottara Chowki, reportedly to avenge the death of Deepak Rao. Basheer succumbed to his injuries after a four-day battle at A. J Hospital here on January 7.

The police, had on January 6, arrested Shrijith PK (25) resident of Uppala Kasargod, Kishan Poojary(21) resident of Padil, Dhanush Poojary(22) resident of from Padil, and Sandesh Kotian resident of Manjeshwara. While interrogating the four, details of the rest involved in the murder was revealed.
