Mysuru: Around 50 activists of BJP Mahila Morcha and Yuva Morcha staged a demonstration at Gandhi Square on Saturday morning in protest against the rape of a Madhya Pradesh-based BPO employee by two youths, who offered her drop in a tempo traveller in Bengaluru recently.

Alleging that the Law and Order situation has deteriorated in the State, the protestors demanded stringent punishment to the culprits and urged the State Government to initiate more measures for ensuring the safety and security of women.

City BJP President E. Maruti Rao Pawar, leader Yashaswini Somashekar, Jogi Manju, Mahila Morcha office-bearers Vidya Urs, Shantha and others led the protest.
