Mysuru: The BJP’s Mysuru district unit is set to hold a Tiranga Yatra on Friday, celebrating the success of Operation Sindoor and showing solidarity with the Indian Armed Forces.

Speaking to the media, Mysuru MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar announced that the yatra would be a non-political event, open to all patriotic and like-minded groups. He stressed the importance of national unity in matters concerning security and sovereignty.

The procession will begin at 10 AM from the Field Marshal K M Cariappa statue on JLB Road and circle through major city roads before returning to the starting point. Ex-servicemen, students, women’s groups, and NGOs will participate in the march, Wadiyar said.

He reiterated that national security should rise above political divides and urged political parties not to exploit the issue. He commended the Union Government and Prime Minister for decisive action, while affirming that the armed forces have already clarified India’s position to the world.

Operation Sindoor, he explained, targeted terrorist strongholds and hideouts in Pakistan. He criticized Pakistan’s economic fragility and overreliance on the IMF for aid, warning against future acts of cross-border terrorism. “The Prime Minister has made it clear — any provocation will invite serious consequences,” Wadiyar stated.

The Tiranga Yatra aims to foster patriotism, honor the bravery of Indian forces, and send a message of unified national resolve.
