Mysuru: Chikkamagaluru MLA C T Ravi arrived at Chamundeshwari Temple in Mysuru on Monday and offered prayers to goddess specifically on the backdrop of statement made by the Chief Minister calling him a looter. With regard to CM’s statement “Looti Ravi, Koti Ravi”, the MLA had thrown an open challenge to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to come to the temple and prove his allegations.
It can be remembered that the Chief Minister, along with Congress President Rahul Gandhi at Chikkamagaluru, called C T Ravi ‘Looti Ravi, Koti Ravi’. Later in a press conference, Ravi had challenged Siddaramaiah to prove his allegations.
“If Siddaramaiah is really a Hindu, if he maintains any commitment, I had ask him to come to the hilltop shrine of Chamundeshwari on March 26. I am here and worshipped the Goddess. He is absent. Now, Chamundeshwari will decide who the real looter is,” Ravi said.
“If I have more assets than mentioned in the affidavit to the Lokayukta, they can carry out investigation, but is it right to tarnish the image in public meeting? Moreover, they should remember, they have many looters as ministers in their cabinet,” he added.
Meanwhile, he said that he is ready to contest against Siddaramaiah if the party seniors give permission.
