Chamarajanagara: A pregnant woman delivered outside the hospital as the hospital was closed in the morning of Friday February 4.
It is said that Kavitha, wife of Kumar from Hugyam Village in Hanur Taluk got labour pain on Friday morning. Husband Kumar took her to Kudlur Primary Health Centre (PHC) on a bike. But the pain increased as she reached the PHC, and there was none at the PHC. She delivered outside the PHC and both mother as well as child are in good health.
Though the PHC board claims 24-hour delivery facility no health staff was present, alleged Kumar. The nearby house residents helped Kavitha deliver.
