Chamarajanagara: Sand Boa snake rescued from accused

Chamarajanagara: The Forest Police on Thursday January 19 arrested two persons who were on their way to sell Sand Boa which was found alive near Jageri in the Taluk, in a bag. They were planning to sell it at a higher price.

Basavaraju (36) of Abbigeri Village in Koppal District and Hanumantha (38) of Ankushadoddi Village in Maski Taluk of Raichur District are the accused in the case.

The Forest Police Force’s Sub-Inspector Vijaya Raja seized sand boa and two mobile phones from the accused and remanded them to judicial custody. Acase has been registered and further investigation is underway.
