Chamarajnagar: Entire world is fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. Wearing masks and staying indoors is said to be the most efficient way of guarding ourselves against the infection.

The police are taking to task people violating the lockdown norms, but in Gundlupete of Chamarajnagar district of Karnataka, a lawmaker’s son is out in open to have some break from the mundane of the lockdown.

The young man, identified as Bhavn Kumar, son of Gundlupete BJP MLA Niranjan Kumar is seen riding a horse on thenational highway and he does not even cover his face with a mask.

The MLAs son is riding the horse on Mysore-Ooty-National-Highway, which lies near the government ITI college in Gundlupet town.

A video of Bhuvan Kumar riding the horse has been doing rounds, leaving netizens wonder if the rules are meant only for the rest of the society to follow.

A person who posted the video wrote: “If your a common man in a red zone during lockdown, you have restrictions on using ur bike/car. If you are an MLAs son you can ride a horse on the Highway. Watch Gundlupet @BJP4Karnataka MLA Niranjan Kumars son riding his horse around like a prince. #COVID19 #VIP #Priorities”

Many netizens have demanded action against the MLA’s son for the violation of lockdown guidelines.
