Mysuru: After several setbacks in the past, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has expressed his confidence that the state would be rendered justice in the burning Cauvery dispute by the Apex Court on the basis of the report submitted by the Central team.
The CM has been in Mysuru over the last three days to be a part of the world famous Mysuru Dasara celebrations and speaking to reporters, he said that the hearing has been slated for October 18 and that he was confident of getting justice.
“I am confident that the report submitted by the central team which toured the state on the water condition in the Cauvery basin will be in favour of the state. I am hopeful that Supreme Court considers their report and delivers judgment in support of the people of Karnataka,” he said and added that even in the Mahadayi issue an all party meeting will be convene on October 19 before the meeting of chief ministers of Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka, which is stated to be convened on October 21. “We will discuss and take suggestions from members of all parties and note the technical aspects of the issue,” he said.
