Mysuru: The Vijayanagar Police have slapped a kidnap case against leading businessman/film producer K P Nanjundi and four others.
Police registered a case after the wife of a manager employed in Nanjundi’s firm lodged a complaint. In her complaint, Alamelu had accused Nanjundi, owner of Lakshmi Gold Palace and his friends of kidnapping her husband Vijayakumar.
Based on her complaint police registered an FIR against K P Nanjundi and his friends Rajan, Ramakrishna and Raju.
The quartet kidnapped her husband fearing him leaking information about K P Nanjundi’s misdeeds to the outside world, she has stated in her complaint.
She has also said the kidnappers have kept her husband in confinement since three days and are denying him food and water.
