Disciple nabbed for molesting woman, Swamiji, hubby absconding

Mysuru: The disciple of a Swamiji was nabbed by the Kuvempunagar Police on Saturday, September 22, following a sexual harassment complaint filed by a woman.

The detainee identified as Anil Acharya, is a disciple of Sri Vidyahamsa Bharati Swamiji.

According to the complaint filed by the woman, the seer, with her husband’s permission, had visited her house along with a few of his disciples at midnight on September 4, and sexually harassed her.

Following this incident, the woman lodged a complaint against her husband, Rajesh Bore, the Swamiji and his disciples with the Kuvempunagar Police.

The Swamiji and Rajesh Bore absconded as soon as the complaint was lodged against them, however, the police were successful in arresting one of the main accused, Anil Acharya and are on the hunt for the other accused.
