Mysuru: Following directions from his astrologer, Minister for Power D K Shivakumar visited Chamundeshwari Temple in Mysuru on fifth day of Dasara and offered two idols of silver elephants to the temple.
Shivakumar, who visited the temple along with his family members offered special prayers at the temple and then told the reporters that the two idols weigh 30 kgs each and that it was offered by him as per the directions of his spiritual guru.
He said that he had vowed to do so when the IT raids were going on and he had prayed to the Supreme Mother to bestow her benevolence on him during his tough time.
Though DK Shi has offered such elephants even in the past, it is said that the elephants were not up to the mark and hence he has offered the idols again.
This is his second visit to the temple, post IT raids.
