Mysuru: Ever heard of a leopard being scared to death of a dog? The big cat was forced to retreat to a tree top after a pack of dogs decided to confront it at the Kallikopalu village in the Hunasur Taluk district of Manararivu.
Reportedly, the leopard had ventured into a village farm in search of prey. However this time around, it was the hunter who decided it best to escape rather than be mauled by the pack of dogs. The scared leopard is said to have climbed atop a tree.
The villagers later intimated the forest department, who later arrived at the spot and captured the leopard after sedating it. The locals heaved a sigh of relief with the capture of this big carnivorous cat.
