Delhi Public School (DPS) Bengaluru and Mysuru are enhancing their health protocols after the detection of Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV) cases in the city. The school’s board member, Mansoor Ali Khan, highlighted the importance of safeguarding students, especially against respiratory illnesses. Parents have been instructed not to send children with mild symptoms like a cough or sore throat. Students who miss school due to illness will be allowed to make up for missed assessments later. Additionally, the Karnataka government has urged citizens to avoid crowded areas and wear masks as a preventive measure.
