Mysuru: Mysuru-Kodagu MP Prathap Simha told that the Bengaluru-Mysuru six-lane expressway will be completed by September 2022.
Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday he said that a chain link fence will be constructed on both sides of the road.
He said Srirangapatna, Maddur, Mandya, Channapatna, Bidadi will have entry and exit from the expressway, and chain-link fences prevent the entry of people, vehicles, and animals.
He said the expressway reduces the Bengaluru-Mysuru journey to just 90 minutes from the present 3 hours. The road has a length of 118 kms, will have a toll at Bidadi and Ganangur, he added.
Referring to Mandya MP Sumalatha Ambareesh’s allegation of unscientific works, Simha said “NHAI has set up a lab at Ganangoor and the Mandya MP must visit the lab along with experts and check on her own. It is Mysuru-Bengaluru Expressway not Bengaluru Mandya or Bengaluru Ramanagar highway.
“The works on Mysuru-T Narasipura road will also be taken up shortly to widen into a four-lane. Mysuru- Madikeri road will also be developed simultaneously,” he added.
