Mysuru: In a disheartening case reported from Siddhartha Extension, here in Mysuru, a poor farmer who was rushing back home with a sum of Rs 1.20 lakh was not just abducted by miscreants but was also stolen of the sum in broad daylight.
Rangaswamy, a small time farmer and a resident of Kuppegala village here had collected Rs 1.20 lac over the last two years, only to realise his dreams of owning a house.

However, when the time came to withdraw the money and realise the dream, miscreants abducted, assaulted him and fled with his hard earned money.

The gang of three men, who must have kept a close watch on movement of the farmer, offered him a drop near Sangeetha Corner in an auto.

When Rangasway turned down the offer, the three waylaid him, forcefully took him to a secluded place near Lalith Mahal helipad and assaulted him with clubs.

The miscreants then took away Rs 1.25 lac, mobile and bank passbook from the victims.

Nazarbad police have registered a complaint.
