Mysuru: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Mallikarjuna Kharge on Monday clarified that the Congress High Command has not sought any report on formation of Anti Corruption Bureau from Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Kharge who was in the city for a private function spoke to media persons and said, “There should be a discussion about formation of ACB in the Vidhana Sabha. We have been creating awareness among the public that formation of ACB is not an attempt to close the Lokayukta. The state government will soon clarify on this”, he said.

Hitting out at BJP-led central government, Kharge said, “After BJP came to power at the centre, it is trying to destabilise governments in Congress-ruled states. As part of this operation, in Arunachal Pradesh already BJP-led government has come to power. They have continued this operation in Uttarkhand too. Even though there is majority in Uttarakhand, there is an attempt to divide Congress representatives and BJP is trying to assume power,” he alleged.

Adding further, he said, “In the upcoming elections in five states, Congress has decided to form a Bihar model alliance and BJP will face embarrassment,” he said.

“Modi-led BJP government is a Suit-boot sarkar and it is trying to kill and weaken the democracy in broad daylight. They will face the consequences in the next elections,” he warned.
