Mysuru: Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD) and Center for Sports and Management Studies (CS&MS) is organizing a ‘Sports Talk’ by International Tennis Player and ATP Champion Somdev Kishore Devvarman at SDM IMD premise on Thursday.
Somdev is also the Brand Ambassador for ‘Sports Management Courses’ of the Institute. The speaker will be sharing the career opportunities for the sports enthusiasts and entrepreneurs; and professional growth for the sportspersons. The ‘Sport Talk’ is open for all and entry for the event is free. The talk will commence at 12 noon.
SDMIMD known for Management Education for the past 23 years is extending its academic support to the Center for Sports and Management Studies (CS & MS) in designing and offering Certificate Program in Sports Management (CPSM) of 3 months duration and Post Graduate Program in Sports Management (PGPSM) one year duration. The program is aimed at preparing the young graduates and sports enthusiasts for sports management and business environment. The course design and content materialized from this collaborative partnership between SDMIMD and CS&MS focuses on transforming the emerging talent into leaders of the sports world. From this academic year, the institute along with CS and MS started conducting the courses. The course commenced in the beginning of July this year and 15 of them including from Kerala and Andhra Pradesh have enrolled for the course.
