Goods Terminal Road in Mysore lies in Deplored Condition

Mysore :The pot-holed roads that have never seen bitumen,the truck drivers try helplessly to drive while struck in the huge pot-holes.  The trucks maneuver precariously through the pot-hole filled roads.This is the state of road that leads to Goods Terminal from Bannimantap here.

Nearly 250 to 300 trucks ply daily on this stretch of road laden with rice, wheat, cement,coal and other grains from railway goods shed to different districts across Karnataka.The road lies in ill state owing to poor upkeep from time to time.  The rains make these pot-holes a splash of pools.  The trucks had to maneuver these pot-holes on their way. The truck drivers had to struggle for the whole day on the pot-hole in case of breakdown. In spite of the truck drivers staged protest, urging the authorities to repairs the roads, its in vain.  The truck drivers distressed over constant repairs to their trucks and tyres.

The railway goods shed truck owners Association Abdul Rashid said, The truck owners are facing huge overheads on maintenance due to breakdowns on pot-holed roads, said Abdul Rasheed. He urged the concerned authorities to restore the roads for smoother traffic at the earliest.
