Mysuru: Now people can register complaints against Police personnel up to the rank of ACP/Dy SP in the district. Under the direction of the Karnataka High Court, followed by a Government order, Mysore City and District Police Complaints Authority has been formed.
The Regional Commissioner, Mysuru Revenue Division, will head the Authority, while Mysuru city DCP (Crime and Traffic) will be the Member-Secretary.
Mysuru District SP, retired KAS (selection grade) officer Puttamadaiah and Dr. Mrutyunjaya P. Kulenur, a resident of Kuvempunagar in city, will be the members of the Authority.
People having any serious complaints against Police personnel of the rank of ACP/ Dy.SP and below may call Ph: 0821-2418302 or 2418502, to register their complaint, according to a press release.
