Health Minister orders district admin to control outbreak of epidemics

Mysuru: Health minister K R Ramesh Kumar took stock of measures taken by the district administration to control dengue and chikungunya epidemic in the district.

Many are affected by the outbreak of dengue and chikungunya in the district, said the minister and questioned his department officials on measures to counter the same.

He instructed the officials to provide the list of dead on account of dengue and chikungunya in the district and insisted on conducting awareness programmes at taluk level.

He also sought details of staff working in the field and cautioned officials not to neglect cases.

Deputy Commissioner D Randeep and health department officials were present.
