Mysuru: With two groups fighting it out, near APMC in Hunasuru, the region has turned tense and as a precautionary measure, Section 144 has been clamped.
In the clash one person has sustained severe injuries. It is said that on Thursday, the Muslim brethren agreed to postpone the ‘Eid-Milan’ celebrations as the Hindu groups were celebrating Hanuma Jayanthi on that day. Hence as part of Eid celebrations, Muslims had put up green buntings and flags near APMC entrance on Friday. Irked by this some Hindu groups asked the Muslim groups to bring down the flags.
This snowballed into a clash and the two groups resorted to fighting out each other with lethal weapon. Superintendent of Police Abhinav Khare said that Section 144 has been clamped in the city and additional forces have been pressed into action.
