Hunsur: A mobile application called ‘Life-360’ has been adopted in the Hunsur Assembly constituency to keep track of Sector and Flying Officers on duty. This experiment is the first of its kind in the state.
Hunsur Sub-Divisional Officer K Nithish and Tahsildar (in-Charge) Rakshit have installed the app on their android mobiles. The same app has been installed on the sets of 6 sectors and 21 flying team staff of the constituency. With this, they both can track the movement of the staff and find out where they are working.
Sub Divisional Officer K Nithish said, “This app helps to know how efficiently the staff are in their work and identify the capacity of the individual.”
“The Deputy Commissioner has approved the use of the app in the Hunsur constituency on a practical basis. There are plans to extend this to other constituencies in the days to come. After filing the nomination by the candidates, this app will be handled through laptops. This will help to increase the efficiency of the staff and control the election illegalities,” he said.
