India’s leading hospitality group, Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), has announced the signing of a new greenfield hotel in Mysuru under its premium Vivanta brand. This strategic move reinforces IHCL’s growing presence across Karnataka and highlights Mysuru’s potential as a key hospitality destination.
Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, stated, “Mysuru, known for its deep-rooted cultural legacy and tourism appeal, offers immense opportunity for premium hospitality offerings. With this new signing, we aim to serve the growing demand from both leisure and business travellers.”
The Vivanta brand, known for its upscale offerings and contemporary style, will bring a modern touch to Mysuru’s vibrant landscape. The greenfield project — a hotel built from the ground up — signals IHCL’s commitment to strengthening its luxury and upscale hotel portfolio across Tier-II cities.
Mysuru, already a prominent tourist hub known for its palaces, heritage structures, and Dussehra celebrations, continues to attract a growing number of visitors annually. This new Vivanta hotel will help cater to that rising demand, further boosting the city’s hospitality infrastructure and local economy.
This latest addition complements IHCL’s expanding network in Karnataka, which includes properties under Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta, and Ginger brands. It reflects the company’s strategy to solidify its leadership in South India through high-end developments in culturally rich cities.
