Jailed professor sheds tears in front of lawyer

Mysuru: The Professor who was remanded to judicial custody, later suspended by the university syndicate shed tears in front of his lawyer pleading innocence in the case as his judicial custody was extended by the court till July 5.
He was jailed based on allegations of derogatory remarks against the Hindu deity and comments that Bhagwadgita should be burnt .He was not released from Judicial custody. When he was produce before Fourth addition, First civil and JMFC Court, the Judge reserved the judgment for tomorrow and extended his judicial custody till 5th of July.

The professor broke down while talking to his lawyer and claimed that the facts have been twisted

It may be recalled that soon after he was kept under judicial custody for 3 days the Mysore university syndicate had suspended him from the post. As he awaits the judgement which  will be pronounced tomorrow the professor has to remain in the custody till July 5.
