Mysuru: 28-year-old Aishwarya R of Mysuru has topped the Karnataka Public Service Commission 2014 examinations. Interestingly, Aishwarya emerged as topper in the competitive exam without going to any coaching classes.

Her dedication and hard work in preparing for the exams made her stand first in the state. She had scored 1286 marks in the exam. She is ecstatic and happy with her performance as she celebrated her achievement at her parent’s house in Siddarth Nagar. The interesting aspect of the success story is that Aishwarya had a month-old baby when she attended the interview for the exam. When the notification for the interview was released in April last year, she was pregnant. Being a manager in Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in Bengaluru, she used to attend work in the day and read for the interview during night. Her husband helped her in arranging study materials. She is also thinking of taking UPSC exams next year.

“It was very challenging task for a mother who had to prepare for the exams as well as look after the new born child. I used to study in the night when my child slept and dedicated the daytime for him. Only because of the support of my husband and my parents, I could succeed in topping the exams,” added Aishwarya. She also mentioned that she want to use her knowledge in information technology to ensure all government programmes reach the beneficiaries.

Excelling in academics right from her school days at Marimallappa School Aishwarya had secured fourth rank in SSLC exams in 2005 while she managed to secure sixth rank in II PUC in state from the same college. She did her Computer Science engineering from NIE college and also emerged as topper in computer science engineering stream.

Her father Ramaradhya R, a resident of Siddarth Nagar was a Block Education Officer, mother Vani B an employee in State Bank of India and younger brother Adithya Aradhya R, working in Accenture. She married to Mahesh Aradhya SS, an IT professional in an MNC in Bengaluru.
