Mysuru: Former CM of Tamil Nadu Karunanidhi passed away on August 7. As a result, Tamil Nadu Government has suspended bus operation in Tamil Nadu, due to which KSRTC bus transportation from Tamil Nadu to Karnataka was suspended for a day.
Karunanidhi who had served as chief minister of Tamil Nadu for more than 25 years had died due to prolonged, age-related illness. All the parties of Tamil Nadu had called for bandh. More than 70 KSRTC buses, which operate more than 100 schedules were suspended.
Fearing violence and attacks, buses operated inside Karnataka till the border of Tamil Nadu and the schedule will the same, said sources.
