A bronze statue of Kempegowda was installed overnight at Kempegowda Circle on Lalit Mahal Road in Mysore, causing a stir in the city. The statue was brought to the site at 2 a.m. by a group of fans without obtaining prior permission.

This installation is surrounded by controversy, as there had been previous disputes over the location of the statue. MLA Harish Gowda had visited the spot earlier and assured fans that a statue would be installed after securing the necessary approval from the corporation.

The sudden appearance of the statue raised questions, and police were soon called to the scene. Attempts to remove the statue were met with strong resistance from the fans, leading to a verbal clash between them and the authorities. The incident has created a tense atmosphere, as officials now look into the situation and address the legality of the installation.
