Mysuru: Just a few hours after the news of missing Tahsildar of K R Pet Taluk Mahesh Chandra went viral, he re-appeared at the KR Pet Police Station on the evening of Friday, August 3.

According to sources, Mahesh told police that some bike-borne miscreants wearing masks kidnapped him when he was returning home on Thursday. Reportedly, the kidnappers came on three bikes.

He told the police that the abductors waylaid his car and when he raised alarm, they threatened to kill him. They reportedly covered his face and took him to an unknown place where he was kept in a dark room. The kidnappers were conversing in Kannada and Hindi, he told the police said sources.

The ordeal ended at 4:30 pm as the kidnappers released him near Thandekeri in K R Pet. He boarded a bus and came directly to the police station, Mahesh told police.
Around 4:30 PM the accused brought me in their bike to Thandekeri, KR Pete. After boarding a bus I came to the police station.

It is gathered that the Superintendent of Police Radhika and policemen took Mahesh Chandra to the spot for the investigation.

It is suspected that the stone mining mafia may be behind the kidnap of Tahsildar.
