Somwarpet: A massive protest at Somwarpet will continue indefinitely, demanding the transfer of the officials accused of harassing the farmers. The protesters claimed that they will sit on an indefinite protest in front of the Somwarpet Taluk office.

Social activist Anil Kumar Karave, President Francis D’Souza and office-bearers of the Farmer’s Union led a massive protest alleging that the repair files, which have been languishing in the office for many years, will be disposed of, due to bribe.

The protestors insisted that the Deputy Commissioner should come to the spot or else the taluk office will be sealed.
