Kodagu: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) Spokesperson M. Lakshmana said that the Global Investors’ Meet (GIM) is an election gimmick of the BJP.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Thursday November 3, he said that this is just political propaganda. The Government spent Rs. 120 Crore for the publicity of the GIM. He said that in the GIM industrialists announced the investment of crores of rupees. But in reality no MOU or agreement was made with the State Government about investments, he said.
He added, “Of the 160 plus stalls opened in the investors meet only 56 were filled which shows the real picture of the investment. He demanded an immediate apology from Chief Minister for attempting to bribe journalists.

Honest journalists said that they have returned the gifts given to them and upheld the greatness of Karnataka’s press arena. He demanded Virajpet MLA K. G. Bopaiah and Madikeri MLA M. P. Appachu Ranjan that how much investment have come to Kodagu from this investors meet. He alleged that Kodagu Mysuru MP Pratap Simha considers Kodagu as a tourist destination.
