Mysuru: Thousands of students were relieved as the UGC order that was set to de-recognise KSOU courses was finally lifted.

Reportedly, the KSOU submitted an affidavit to the UGC assuring and agreeing that they will abide by all the norms and directives of the UGC.

Addressing a press meet at the KSOU Guest House in Muktagangotri, KSOU Vice-Chancellor Prof. M.G. Krishnan said that he and a few other KSOU officials met UGC Chairman Prof. Ved Prakash, Secretary Prof. Jaspal Sandhuy, Joint Secretary Pankaj Mittal and other officials in New Delhi yesterday and submitted the affidavit along with the required supplementary documents needed for continuation of recognition of courses and programmes started after 2012-13.

With the UGC responding in a very positive manner, he hoped that the recognition process will be complete in a fortnight, he said.
