Mysuru: A Lokayukta police team conducted a raid at the Mysuru Palace Board office on Tuesday, investigating alleged ticket collection irregularities. The operation, which lasted four hours, is expected to continue on Wednesday.
Background of the Investigation
The probe falls under the Karnataka Lokayukta Act, 1984. Officials revealed that the first raid took place in May 2024 following a formal complaint. The Lokayukta then sought clarifications through official communication, allowing board officials to respond.
Authorities Involved
The Mysuru Palace Board is headed by the Chief Secretary, with the Mysuru Deputy Commissioner (DC) serving as the ex-officio executive officer. However, the Mysuru DC was unavailable for comment regarding the ongoing investigation.
Findings from the probe will be submitted to the Lokayukta for further action.
