Madikeri: Renowned economist and politician Dr. Subramanian Swamy will be the Chief Guest at the 27th Annual Codava National Day celebrations scheduled to be held on November 26, at Gandhi Grounds, Madikeri.
A delegation of Codava National Council (CNC) headed by its President N.U Nachappa Codava availed an opportunity to meet, the leader.
Dr Swamy would be speaking about “Codava Quest for Autonomy” inclusion of Codava Tribe in the schedule list of our Constitution and inclusion of Codava Thakk in the 8th schedule of our Constitution and allied subjects. Dr. Swamy informed the CNC delegation that he had already talked to Union Home Minister Rajanath Singh regarding the imminence of the subject offered understandably is most warranted.
Jagadish Shetty the incumbent General Secretary of National “Virat Hindu Sangam” also would be participating as a Guest of Honour in the Codava National Day celebrations.
Kaliyanda Prakash, Pullera Kalappa, Appachira Rammi Nanaiah, Katumaniyanda Umesh, Macharanda Sindhu, Macharanda Jagan were part of the delegation that met Dr Swamy, said a release from N U Nachappa.
