Madikeri: As the Indian Army recruitment rally began on Sunday, October 13, with full enthusiasm, the same spirit was seen today as well, as thousands of men participated.
The recruitment rally currently being held at the General Thimmayya Grounds, saw candidates from several parts of the state who were heard speaking about national pride and being ready to sacrifice their lives for their mother India.
The candidates were on the ground at 5 AM despite the chilly weather and involved themselves in rigorous physical tests.
Around 9572 candidates enrolled in the recruitment rally so far.
Yesterday, the first day, 2445 candidates were called for the test out of which only 1948 attended.
Today, the second day, 2481 candidates were given a call out of which only 1825 showed up.
Joint Director of Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare L K Geeta, informed about the tests and sporting events.
Deputy Commissioner Annies Kanmani Joy visited the stadium and discussed about the basic facilities with concerned officials.
The recruitment rally will continue till October 18.
