Madikeri: Even as the Chief Minister continues to face sharp criticism from axed ministers post cabinet rejig, KPCC Chief Dinesh Gundurao has said that there is no dissent within the party.
Addressing a programmes organised by district Congress to congratulate him, at Hotel Valley View here, he said that the Congress will retain power in the state through its unity and every party worker has to work towards the said goal.
“Differences and dissents are common in politics, but there is no such issue within the Congress house. It is seeming to be an issue only because the media is making it look like one,” he said adding that if at all there are cracks in the Congress house, the third party will take advantage of the same.
Lauding the new district in-charge Minister of Kodagu M R Seetharam, he said that he and Seetharam would focus on further strengthening the party in Kodagu, given the fact that Kodagu already has good leadership and party workers base in the district.
M R Seetharam said that Kodagu had once been a stronghold of the Congress and during the next Assembly polls,the Congress must reinstate the same.
