Madikeri: It is highly shameful that when the state and country’s citizens are reeling under grave problems, the minister from the ruling party, BJP taints his name in a sex scandal, said Kodagu District Congress spokesperson Kechamada Saritha Punachcha and demanded the arrest of Minister of Water Resources Ramesh Jarkhiholi.
She was speaking at a press conference held at taluk head office, Ponnampet on Wednesday March 3. Stating that women are feeling unsafe today in a BJP ruled state, Punachcha said that the state government is slowly losing its trust among people. She demanded Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa to take legal action against the minister, if the CM really had any concern towards women in general.
She stressed that the victim along with her family should be provided with protection by the Home Ministry.
Ponnampet block women Congress president Kolera Yamuna Bharati, joint secretary Karthamada Ramya, zilla panchayat members Shrija Saji Achuthan and P.R.Pankaja were present.
