Madikeri: Kodavas have left their mark in field of defense and sport in a very big way, but here in Dubai, a young man from the Coffee Land has left behind an impression in the field of hair styling.
Sunil Bhasker from Suntikoppa in Kodagu has bagged first place in the international-level hair styling competition held in Dubai recently, thereby bringing the name of Kodagu in the international fashion circuits. The event organised by British Barbers’ Association was swept by Sunil, who had a humble beginning in Suntikoppa.
At the age of 18, Sunil had a small salon in Suntikoppa, where he remained for a while before going to Dubai to test his fortune. Over the last 13 years, Sunil has been working in the United Arab Emirates and soon he became one of the most sought after hairstylists.
In the said event, Sunil has been adjudged as the best on criteria such as speed, technique, finishing and trend.
