Gonikoppa: Three coffee plantation workers died after coming in contact with a live wire at Arvathoklu village of Gonikoppa in Kodagu district, on Monday.
The deceased are Dharmajja (50) from Kavadi village, Ravi (40) and Sathish (50).
It is said that the three had got an iron ladder to pluck coconuts from a tree in the plantation. They were electrocuted when the ladder came in touch with a live wire. The dead bodies of the three were found charred in the incident.
The plantation was taken on lease by one Ramajamma from Arvathoklu.
