Madikeri: An incident of tiger attack has taken place in Parakatageri village of South Kodagu in which a calf was killed.
The tiger has attacked the calf of a buffalo while it was grazing and eaten parts of its back. The calf belonged to Kalimada Suresh of the village.
The villagers say that a tiger has been roaming around in the region for the past six months and accuse the Forest Department of not taking any suitable action.
The officials of Wildlife Range visited the spot and assessed the situation.
