Madikeri: TTV Dinakaran fraction MLAs housed in one of the resorts in Kodagu intend to meet the President of India to appraise him of the political situation in that state. They have sought an appointment with him and are awaiting his nod.
Around 18 rebel MLAs housed in Paddington Resort near Suntikoppa in Kodagu for the past one week are awaiting President’s nod for a meeting with him, said Tamil Selvam, representing the rebel fraction.
Chief Minister Palaniswamy and Deputy Paneer Selvam are attempting to lure the rebel fraction MLAs by offering Rs 15-20 Crore to lend support to the ruling fraction. At the same time, they are receiving threats against refusing to toe their line, alleged rebel MLAs.
Senthil Balaji accompanied by Tamil Selvam met the deputy superintendent of police at Suntikoppa Police Station and sought police protection for all the MLAs housed in the resort.
When a national media channel reporter sought the opinion of Tangam MLA Tamil Selvam on the developments in the rebel camp, the latter lost his cool and threatened the reporter alighting from the jeep and later walked away.
