Madikeri: The New Year came in with the shocking news of two women breaking the faith barrier of Sabarimala temple. Bindu Ammini and Kanaka Durga from Kerala, both in their 40s entered the shrine of the celibate God, sparking off widespread protests in the state.
However, it has now come to light that the two women were in a hotel room in Madikeri before proceeding to the hilltop shrine.
The CCTV footage from the hotel where they were staying, on December 29 is now out showing the two women in normal clothes and not in the mandatory black robe. The women are accompanied by a man, who leads them till the room and leaves the place. The hotel staff have said that the women didn’t seem to have followed the penance as they often went to the local bakery to pick food of their choice. The two checked out on December 31.
