Madikeri: Taking a dig at the Popular Front of India, the Vishwa Hindu Parishat has said that if the ones arrested in Praveen Poojary murder case are innocent, then the PFI must come forward and name the ones behind the murder.
Addressing a news conference, VHP District General Secretary D Narasimha alleging that the PFI and the KFD are involving into anti-national activities, said that after the arrests, the PFI activists have been making hue and cry saying that the arrested boys are all innocent.
“For the PFI is claiming that the arrested youth are innocent, it is clear that they know who the culprits are. The PFI must make public the names of those who hacked auto driver Praveen Poojary in Kushalnagar,” he said.
VHP Virajpet President Jagath said that the series of communally motivated violence started off with Tipu Jayanthi celebrations in Kodagu and this must be opposed.
“People took to streets only to oppose the government that hurt the sentiments of Kodagu. The protests were not against any community,” he said adding that after the police did wonderful job in connection to Poojary murder case, the PFI is attacking the police.
Office-bearers of VHP were present.
