Mysuru: The II District and Sessions Court handed over life sentence to a man guilty of killing his wife suspecting her fidelity way back in 2012.
Srinivas, a resident of Mantikyathanahalli, a habitual tope used to harass his wife everyday. Once in an inebriated state, he picked a quarrel with his wife suspecting her fidelity and then strangulated her to death on the fateful day.
Police managed to trace the absconding killer after a year and filed a case in the court providing substantial evidence to nail the guilty.
Judge Vijay Anand Shetty, in his judgment, handed over life sentence along with a fine of Rs 3000.
