A domestic dispute took a deadly turn in Mysuru when a man was brutally murdered near Nimra Masjid in Rajiv Nagar, falling under the jurisdiction of Udayagiri Police Station. The victim has been identified as Saqib.

The alleged attacker, Afridi, was reportedly a known acquaintance and had been staying as a guest at the victim’s residence. The altercation escalated during a heated argument stemming from a family-related issue. In a sudden outburst of violence, Afridi is said to have pulled out a knife and fatally stabbed Saqib in the neck.

Local residents, shocked by the incident, quickly alerted the authorities. Police personnel from Udayagiri station arrived at the crime scene promptly and began an investigation. The suspect was immediately taken into custody.

A case of murder has been registered under relevant sections of the IPC, and further inquiry is underway to uncover the full context of the quarrel and determine if there were any other individuals involved or present at the time of the crime.

The tragic episode has left the neighbourhood rattled, with community members expressing concern over the rising number of violent incidents linked to personal disputes. The police have assured that justice will be served and appropriate legal action will follow.
