Mysuru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was on Friday claimed that drought was being managed very efficiently, dismissing the threat from BJP State Chief B S Yeddyurappa to bring two lakh people to gherao Vidhan Soudha to protest the State government’s ineffective drought relief measures.
Speaking to mediapersons near his home he said that if Yeddyurappa, will get two lakh people, he will assemble four lakh.
“He is not the only strongman in Karnataka. Drought is being handled efficiently. There is absolutely no problem,” he said.
He said that he will personally submit its report on the drought to the Union government when he visits New Delhi next.
He further said that providing drinking water, employment and fodder for animals has been his top priorities.
“We will provide drinking water through tankers until it rains. In Aland alone, 130 villages do not have water source and we are providing them water through tankers,” he added.
